Buildwas Park is located in the Severn Valley near Buildwas, Shropshire and is a private estate of historical and natural significance.

The estate has important ties to the nearby ruins of Buildwas Abbey, a 12th-century Cistercian monastery.

The estate's serene surroundings, with rolling hills and ancient woodlands and has fine views of the Wrekin, the River Servern and the Estate lands. A beautiful avenue of Yew Trees still exists and shown in the photograph gallery below.

Originally covering 1,200 acres with mature woodlands strategically planted over 50 years ago. the estate is now around 150 acres.

Buildwas Park is properly the seat of the Moseley’s, although the family now reside at the Abbey.

Owners in recent year

Buildwas Park Estate was originally owned by the Moseley family and then the Carder family in the last century before being bought by Richard Perkins in the 1990’s.

Members of the Tough family not only worked on the Buildwas Park during the 20th century but also lived there. A notable example is the house head butler William Tough and his wife Annie who lived at Lower Lodge gatekeep on the estate, while in the service of Colonal Harold Crichton-Browne.

The estate's gatehouse Lower Lodge is now known as Riverview Cottage and is available to rent for holidays from the Buildwas Park Estate.
