A gathering of the clans

Sandra's work on the Webb and Tough family trees had grown in momentum with Dave providing huge input for the Tough family.
Early in 2024, they both agreed that it would be a great idea to invite surviving members of both families to Lower Lodge for a family reunion. So on 16th and 18th May, the families travelled to Buildwas Park for a unique get together.

Martin and Bonnie May Webb and Dave Webb and Shirley Morris travelled from London and Bognor Regis to join Sandra and Chris for lunch at Lower Lodge on the Thursday. Sandra was convinced that we also has a certain Head Butler in spiritual attendance.
Buildwas Park is where Dennis and William (Leslie) Webb played as boys and Les had visited Mike Guy in the '70s to strengthen the connection.

All were delighted to receive Margaret Sumnal and her good friend Rodney Farmer at the event. Margaret had many stories to tell about the Buildwas Park house staff, especially those of her mother, who was a cook at the house. Naturally she worked closely with head butler William Tough.
Sandra laid on a super Cornish tea with scones, fresh cream and strawberries. Chris provided the teas and coffees from the extended Lodge kitchen. Mr William Tough would have been very impressed.
